Job Description

We are looking for a proactive professional familiar with the social and health sector for the position of community coordinator at Kalliola Settlement's neighbor house in Pasila. In this role, you will develop and implement community work, volunteer activities, and network cooperation with residents, partners, and the work community. You will plan and put into practice activities that strengthen participation and well-being among residents of different ages and backgrounds in the area. Kalliola Settlement's neighbor house in Pasila is an open meeting place aimed at promoting the well-being and participation of local residents. As a community coordinator: coordinate, develop, and implement local community work; recruit, guide, and support volunteers and interns; build and maintain networks with social and health service providers; plan and execute events together with the team, residents, and partners; communicate activities through various channels; participate in activity evaluation, monitoring, and reporting; perform other tasks assigned by the supervisor. Requirements include relevant lower university degree (e.g., social services, community pedagogy), at least three years of work experience in the field, knowledge of the social and health sector, experience in guiding, coordinating, or supporting volunteers, proven approach to participation and ability to build cooperation with various actors, excellent teamwork, interaction, and collaboration skills, fluent oral and written communication skills in Finnish and good command of English, goal-oriented, developmental, and flexible work attitude with the ability to implement plans, project management skills. Preferred experience with social media, Canva, and event organization.
