Principal Application Engineer - Bentley Systems - Remote - Global

Position Summary: As a Principal Application Engineer, you will be crucial in pre-sales technical engagements, leveraging your deep industry and technical expertise to support revenue goals and drive customer success. Collaborating closely with Account Managers and the expanded Solution Engineering Team, you will develop and execute technical strategies tailored to customer needs, ensuring alignment with Bentley's solutions and vision. Your primary focus will be on influencing technical roadmaps, guiding solution fit assessments, and facilitating closures of sales opportunities through technical validation and solution architecture development. Responsibilities include delivering tailored presentations, collaborating with product teams, leading proof of concept projects, preparing technical proposals, providing technical training, staying updated on industry trends, building customer relationships, aligning technical strategies, offering expert guidance, conducting solution demonstrations, analyzing competitors, developing technical collateral, enhancing expertise, and validating solutions. Qualifications include ME/MTech, MS in Civil/Structural Engineering, 15-20 years of industry experience in structural engineering consulting and design, experience in solution selling or technical sales, project lifecycle management skills, familiarity with Bentley solutions (STAAD, RAM), and ability to travel up to 25%.
