Senior Software Engineer - Nosto - Remote - Global

As an Engineer at Nosto, you’ll be solving one of the biggest challenges brands and retailers face today: How to offer customers relevant and authentic shopping experiences that drive results. What you would be working on As a Senior Engineer, you’ll join our Product & Engineering organization in shaping Nosto into the leading global platform for commerce experience. Specifically you’ll work within the Platforms Integration team which is responsible for ensuring our merchants can integrate with Nosto quickly and seamlessly across our various integrations. This is a hands-on technical role. You’ll drive key architectural decisions, champion improvements, and mentor other engineers. Your work spans the full stack - from infrastructure and backend systems to front-end components. You’ll collaborate closely with other engineering teams (SRE, Data & AI team, Search and Personalization) along with our product managers and designers, and also have touch points with our customer success and technical solution managers. You’ll also have meaningful freedom to propose technologies and practices, backed by sound reasoning and real customer value. Our approach is pragmatic, iterative, and grounded in solving actual merchant and shopper challenges. Responsibilities Take primary responsibility for developing and maintaining Nosto’s integrations with E-commerce Platforms, ensuring seamless functionality and adherence to best practices. Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code by integrating our platforms with external services and APIs. Ensure the reliability and performance of integration solutions at scale — including designing for fault tolerance, implementing robust error handling and retry strategies, and monitoring latency and uptime across third-party platform connections. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for integration solutions, including architectural designs, API specifications, and operational guides Write thorough tests and apply systematic debugging to resolve issues. Contribute to the development of new products and features from concept to launch. Engage in agile processes (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) and ensure incremental delivery. Provide support for internal teams with platform-related questions and technical planning for internal projects. Engaging with platform partners and merchants, understanding their needs, resolving technical challenges, and implementing improvements. Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment. Encourage open discussions within the team, valuing diverse opinions and constructive feedback.
