Job Description

We are looking for a cheerful team member for hotel cleaning tasks at a hotel in Mikkeli, for a fixed-term, part-time position. The employment begins: As soon as a suitable candidate is found or according to agreement in summer 2026. The employment ends: 31.10.2026 Job duties include, among others: - Cleaning and preparing hotel rooms: making beds, changing linens, emptying trash, cleaning surfaces, vacuuming and mopping floors, and cleaning bathrooms and toilets. - Teamwork and communication with accommodation staff, and communication with guests if necessary. - Inspection and reporting: reporting damages and maintenance needs to supervisor. - Management of cleaning equipment and supplies: maintenance of cleaning tools and replenishment of cleaning agents. The role of a room attendant is an important part of the accommodation operation, as cleanliness and comfort are key to guest experience. Our hotel cleaning service has the Swan Label, and we follow its standards in all hotel cleaning activities. You will participate in environmentally friendly cleaning practices and receive training aligned with the Swan Label criteria. Working hours: 6 hours/day, 20 hours/week. During peak times, workdays may extend to 8 hours. Shifts are scheduled from Monday to Sunday, with a maximum of six working days per week. Working hours are mainly between 10:00 and 16:00, but flexibility to work between 09:00 and 17:00 is expected. Shifts may vary between two hotel locations that are close to each other. We expect applicants to: - Have sufficient Finnish and English language skills for a multilingual work environment. - Be of legal age. - Have time management skills. - Be in good physical condition. - Have resilience under pressure and be proactive. - Have a cheerful attitude towards customer service and willingness to commit to the job. Previous cleaning experience is an advantage but not required, as training will be provided for your specific cleaning tasks.
