Cargo Loader Supervisor at Rovaniemi Airport - Airpro Oy - Rovaniemi, Finland

We are looking for positive and proactive cargo loader supervisors to join our team at Rovaniemi Airport. The role involves receiving arriving flights and preparing departing flights, including handling luggage and passengers. As a cargo loader supervisor, you will oversee the aircraft turnaround process, receive aircraft, and prepare them for departure with luggage and passengers. Your responsibilities include managing aircraft services, participating in baggage handling, and ensuring aircraft are ready for the next flight. The work is physical, varied, and performed as part of a cargo team where everyone's contribution is visible and valued. The work is mainly outdoors, so you should be comfortable with changing weather conditions. You will also be responsible for the use of specialized equipment essential for airport operations and safety. Knowledge of the local area and familiarity with Rovaniemi Airport are considered an advantage. The key aspects of this role are: - Ensuring aircraft depart safely and on time, complying with aviation regulations even under pressure. - Taking initiative and working efficiently regardless of weather conditions. - Maintaining a relaxed and positive work environment, fostering a team spirit that makes it easy to work together. Requirements for applicants: - At least 18 years old - Clean criminal record - Valid B driver's license - Finnish and English language skills (training is in Finnish; English is the general language of aviation) - Practical experience in ramp operations - Cargo loader supervisor certification - Good physical condition (work may involve awkward postures) The aircraft loading process can be hectic and involves shift work. Success in this role requires resilience, flexibility, and reliability. The work is irregular shift work, and you must be able to move around the airport at all hours.
