Job Description
Would you like to work with young people? We are hiring an Assistant for the Nokian location to support students in TELMA training, which prepares for work and independent living. You will do meaningful work in a supportive community. TELMA training is aimed at young people requiring special support who, due to health or functional reasons, cannot proceed directly to qualification-oriented education. The training helps develop everyday skills, strengthen work readiness, and plan for the future. The assistant's role involves supporting students in teaching and work situations as well as daily activities. Experience in caring tasks and guiding challenging behavior in youth is an advantage. We value an independent and developmental approach, good teamwork skills, and the ability to work in various learning environments. A qualification such as a practical nurse or a school assistant is beneficial but not required. The average working hours are 30 hours per week. We operate on a flexible schedule, so weekly hours may vary. Salary is based on the private education sector collective agreement (salary level VR2). There is a probation period of half the employment duration. The selected candidate must provide a criminal background check related to working with children before starting. The employment begins on August 3, 2026, and is fixed-term until June 4, 2027. Interested? Send your application today, but no later than June 19, 2026. Include information about your skills, background, and interests. For more information, contact service manager Riikka Manninen at 040 650 7636 or education manager Katariina Autio at 040 655 0662, on June 11 from 10-11 and June 16 from 14-15. Join us in this meaningful work! Benefits include: - Sports and culture (ePassi) - Lunch benefit (ePassi) - Well-being (ePassi) - Flexible occupational health services
