Job Description
We are looking for an early childhood education teacher at Norlandia Laajalahti. Today we built a spaceship. We decided it would fly to Mars. But first, we had to calculate how many rockets it needs. Then we learned what gravity means. This is what everyday life in early childhood education looks like from a child's perspective, as they wonder, experiment, ask questions, and learn. As an educator and facilitator of learning, you see this as a pedagogical process where every moment supports children's learning and insights. WHAT DO WE EXPECT FROM YOU? You are a qualified early childhood education teacher who wants to perform your work professionally, considering children's learning and insights. You are responsible for the pedagogy of your own group, guide children's learning, and participate in the development of the daycare. You utilize artificial intelligence and digital tools for planning and assessment, but your most important tool is yourself, a professional in early childhood education, who brings your expertise to the team and recognizes children's needs and opportunities. WHAT WE OFFER YOU A permanent employment starting from August 3, 2026 Private occupational health care Sports, culture, and wellness benefits Affordable workplace meals Training opportunities at Norlandia Academy WHY NORLANDIA DAYCARE CENTERS? Our employees say that the best thing about Norlandia is that managers and support organizations are genuinely close and supportive in everyday situations. Everyone has the opportunity to influence their work and develop daily routines. Each of our daycares operates with its local touch, and the benefits offered by the chain support smooth daily operations. Community and participation make us a workplace where you want to stay long-term. APPLY! Send your application no later than July 19, 2026. We review applications during the application period and will fill the position as soon as a suitable candidate is found. For more information about the position, contact daycare director Marjukka Nieminen at 044 7744614 or marjukka.nieminen@norlandia.com. The selected candidate must present a criminal record extract before starting employment (Act on the Background Checks of Persons Working with Children 504/2002).
