A fixed-term position for a PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHER is available at Pitkäkankaan School for the 2026 - 2027 academic year. The subjects taught will be Finnish language and literature for grades 7 - 9. The role also includes S2 teaching hours. Our school is a comprehensive school with approximately 700 students in Oulunsalo. Most of our students are in grades 7 - 9. We focus on strong community-based teaching, upbringing, and well-being activities. Our school holds a Level 2 Luma/Steam certification and participates in the Future Classroom project, where we explore the possibilities of new AV solutions, ICT technologies, and STEAM-related technologies in learning. Your work will be supported by strong subject group expertise and collegial collaboration. Qualifications are determined according to the decree on the qualifications of education personnel 986/1998. Original certificates demonstrating qualifications must be presented during a potential interview. Experience working in a comprehensive school is considered an advantage. Salary is determined according to the municipal collective agreement for the education sector. Before the appointment is confirmed, the selected candidate must, within 30 days of receiving the decision, present a criminal background check issued under the Act on Background Checks for Persons Working with Children (504/2002), section 3.
