A fixed-term position for an EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION TEACHER is available at Niemenranta Daycare Center for the 2026-2027 operational period. The position initially involves working with a 4-5-year-old group. Niemenranta Daycare Center has seven groups and is located under the same roof as a school. The qualification requirement for an early childhood education teacher is based on the Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018, section 26), considering the transitional provisions for personnel under the same act (section 75). A bachelor's degree in education must include professional studies in early childhood education or at least 60 ECTS credits in social and health care studies related to early childhood education and social pedagogy. The salary for the early childhood education teacher position is based on the job-specific pay system and levels of competence and responsibility, ranging from €2,864.37 to €2,975.07. The actual salary consists of the job-specific pay and any other levels according to the OVTES agreement. Before accepting the position, the selected candidate must present a criminal record extract issued under the Act on Background Checks of Persons Working with Children (504/2002). According to the Infectious Diseases Act (section 55), the employer is responsible for requiring a reliable statement that the employee or trainee/students do not have active tuberculosis of the respiratory system.
