Position for an organization professional The Uusimaa district of the Finnish Association for Nature Conservation is seeking an organization coordinator. The coordinator will perform various tasks related to our environmental organization, mainly communication. Applicants who can access the highest level of wage support are encouraged to apply. The position is temporary (10 months) and part-time, approximately three days per week. What we expect: You are a proactive and independent worker. You are familiar with the NGO sector. You have an interest in nature and environmental issues and possibly education or experience in environmental matters. Communication tasks are familiar to you from previous jobs or hobbies. Tasks: Updating websites (sll.fi/uusimaa) based on WordPress, managing social media channels, and handling other communication and office tasks, as well as event organization. You will have the opportunity to learn about the NGO and environmental sectors and build networks that will support your career development. We will provide training on systems and other work tasks. Our district has a small and friendly team, and we work in our organization’s premises, making it easy to get help with various situations. The work is mainly during weekdays, sometimes evenings and/or weekends. Our office is located at Sörnäistenkatu 1, Helsinki. Remote work is partly possible. Travel within the Uusimaa region may be required. We require an active and independent approach to work, as well as: – Good Finnish language skills and writing ability (language skills good or excellent) – Experience in communication and proficiency with office software. Knowledge or experience in the NGO and environmental sector is an advantage. You must be eligible for the highest wage support. The position can start in September or as agreed, is temporary (10 months), and part-time (approx. 24 hours/week). Gross salary is about €1500/month.
