Concrete Structural Designer - SWECO - Vaasa, Finland

We are now looking for a concrete structural designer for our Vaasa team for versatile design tasks. As a concrete structural designer, you will design load-bearing concrete structures for various building projects. You will be responsible for your own design entities and move solutions forward in cooperation with the project manager, the rest of the design team, and the customer. Your desk may have both smaller, independently implemented design tasks and larger entities as part of a project group. Our assignments cover new and renovation projects – from small expert tasks to significant large-scale projects. We can tailor the job description according to your specialization and interest. We are not afraid to give responsibility and we trust our experts. We work in 28 locations, of which your own office is located in Vaasa. Keys to success in the position: We hope you have at least six years of experience in concrete structural design. You have a suitable education in the construction industry (M.Sc. Tech / B.Sc. Arch / B.Eng. UAS). You master the basics of statics and the dimensioning of load-bearing structures and can fluently use Office tools and AutoCAD or Tekla Structures design software. Knowledge of RFEM and other industry software is considered an advantage. You have good interaction skills and the ability to communicate fluently and clearly in Finnish. You naturally operate as part of a team, but you do not shy away from independent tasks. You take responsibility for your own design work and are not afraid to invent new ways of doing things.
