Maintenance Technician - Hitachi Energy - Remote - Global

We help customers manage the entire lifecycle of equipment and systems, from commissioning (installation and startup), through services that extend lifespan (upgrades, repairs, and lifecycle extension), to end-of-life (replacement and decommissioning). We are seeking a maintenance technician specialized in transformer maintenance for our Vaasa service unit. You will be responsible for transformer maintenance and installation at our factory and customer sites. The work involves close cooperation with customers and stakeholders, requiring excellent customer service skills. The role offers an interesting and challenging environment with opportunities for professional growth, including frequent travel mostly within Finland. Responsibilities include transformer maintenance at our Vaasa workshop and on-site at customer locations. The ideal background includes basic electrical training or equivalent experience in high-voltage installations, general electrical skills, good communication and teamwork abilities, and motivation to meet customer commitments. Basic MS Office skills are required; transformer maintenance knowledge and welding skills are advantageous.
