In home care, you are where care matters most: in the client's own daily life. In this role, you will have the opportunity to do diverse and meaningful work with the elderly across different parts of Turku. Tasks are available in the Koivula, Nättinummi, and Runosmäki areas. Your tasks You will work as a practical nurse in home care as part of a multidisciplinary team, but independently in clients' homes. Your day will consist of various nursing tasks: basic care and support, as well as medical tasks such as medication administration, wound care, and stoma and catheter care. You will participate in assessing clients' care and service needs and be involved in developing elderly care and services. You have the opportunity to take on different responsibilities based on your interests and develop your skills through training. The work community maintains an open atmosphere where collaboration is smooth and humor is part of everyday life. The work is performed in two shifts. We use a communal shift planning system that better enables work-life balance and allows you to participate in planning your shifts. What we expect from you We expect you to be proactive, have problem-solving skills, and a customer-oriented approach. Good communication and collaboration skills, as well as enthusiasm for developing home care services together with the team, are desired. We are especially looking for an enthusiastic and active practical nurse. The job requires a driver’s license and the ability to use your own car, except in the Runosmäki area, where you will walk or ride a bicycle. Good Finnish language skills are necessary. An advantage is a valid LOVE medication license (which can be obtained through the employer), experience working with the elderly, and OMNI360 and RAI expertise. The qualification requirement is a professional degree in social and health care (practical nurse) or an equivalent previous education in the field, along with a valid registration in JulkiTerhikki and JulkiSuosikki registers.
