Director of Regulatory Compliance - Pentasia - Remote - Global

We are partnering with a leading international betting and gaming operator to appoint a Director of Regulatory Compliance. This is a strategically important leadership role within a newly evolved Group Compliance function, offering the opportunity to shape regulatory compliance strategy across both retail and digital operations. Operating within a highly regulated and rapidly evolving environment, the successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the business continues to meet its regulatory obligations while supporting sustainable growth and innovation. Reporting directly to the Group Compliance Director, this role carries significant visibility and influence across the organisation, with regular engagement at Executive Committee and Board level, as well as direct interaction with regulators and industry bodies. Leading a team of senior compliance professionals, you will be responsible for the development, oversight and continuous enhancement of the organisation's regulatory compliance framework. Operating as a true second line of defence, you will provide independent oversight, challenge and guidance to first-line business functions, ensuring robust regulatory governance across the business. The role covers both online and retail operations, with a primary focus on the UK regulatory landscape and potential oversight of additional jurisdictions as the business continues to expand. Key Responsibilities include leading the development and implementation of the regulatory compliance strategy and framework, ensuring compliance with all applicable gambling regulatory and licensing requirements, monitoring regulatory developments, providing independent oversight, overseeing compliance monitoring and reporting, acting as escalation point, building relationships with regulators, supporting reporting, leading governance committees, promoting a culture of compliance, and overseeing marketing and communication frameworks. We seek an experienced regulatory compliance leader with a proven track record in highly regulated environments, with significant senior experience in gambling, financial services, or similar sectors, deep understanding of UK gambling regulation, and strong leadership skills. Desirable experience includes digital and retail operations, regulatory investigations, and relevant qualifications.
