Experience Worker for Street-Level Youth Substance Abuse Work - Rinnekodit Oy - Helsinki, Finland

We are looking for an experienced worker to be part of the Street Level, youth substance abuse work to promote social participation among young people. The position is full-time and fixed-term until 31.03.2027. Welcome to Diakonissalaitos! We strengthen work to support young people using substances, reduce drug deaths, and increase youth well-being and community. The work involves outreach street work and low-threshold meeting points in Myyrmäki, targeting under 25-year-olds, including minors, who use substances or are at risk of serious substance and mental health challenges. The goal is to reach young people in their environments and in situations where other support is not easily accessible. As an experienced worker, you will promote the voice and experience of the young people involved in Katutaso activities, act as an influencer, and help organize youth advocacy activities. The work is based in Alppikatu, Helsinki, but may include travel. Requirements include personal experience with substance dependence and recovery, interest and experience in youth advocacy, social skills, presentation skills, courage to share opinions and experiences, interest in development work, and a desire to learn. No formal qualification is required. We are a smoke-free and drug-free workplace. A criminal record extract according to law 504/2002, not older than six months, is required.
