We are looking for a school assistant for Kannelmäki Basic School at the Pelimanni location for grades 6-9 in a small group of special education. Kannelmäki Basic School is an inclusive local school whose values are student-centeredness, community, and professionalism. We operate in the lush Kannelmäki area in several locations. We have students from grades 1-9. We enjoy working and learning together. All our professionals support skill development - you can learn in cooperation with colleagues and students! The goal of the school assistant's work is to guide and support the learner in different stages of the school and learning process. The task includes supporting the learning of different learners in various subjects, considering their starting points. The guidance work takes place in grades 7-9. The school assistant is hired for a 26-hour weekly work schedule. School assistants are employed by the City of Helsinki, and the first workplace is recorded in the employment contract. The workplace is determined based on available resources and may change annually. The base salary is €1632.15 for a 26-hour week, plus possible additional pay according to KVTES. The base salary may change based on competence and responsibility level. The employment contract includes a 30-day summer break, mainly in July. The total hours of the school assistant can be reviewed annually based on the school's resources and operational period. During school holidays, assistants may also work in centralized activities for children with disabilities. The workplace may be at another Helsinki city school during holidays.
