Job Description
The Varsinais-Suomi Wellbeing Services Region is launching the Continuity of Care in Varsinais-Suomi project, which implements the development of continuity of care models with state funding from the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health. More information about the state funding can be found at: https://stm.fi/vuoden-2026-valtionavustushaut. The project promotes the pilot and procurement of a new professional practitioner model and the development of Varha's self-team model in outpatient health care at Sote centers. The goals of the Continuity of Care in Varsinais-Suomi project are to pilot and procure the professional practitioner model, develop Varha's self-team care model, and compare these models. The project is divided into four work packages, one of which is implemented across the Western Finland cooperation area. Your tasks You will work as a data analyst in the Continuity of Care in Varsinais-Suomi project at Varha, as part of the knowledge management team in development solutions. You will collaborate closely with documentation experts and operational staff, utilizing and developing a unified data platform to improve continuity of care. In your role, you will combine analytics and practical development: build and develop data foundations and metrics, produce analyses, and actively implement your insights in practice together with professionals and management. You will not only work with data but also visit service units, identify development areas, and support changes in operational practices using data, relying on Varha's management model. You will work within two close cooperation networks: the knowledge management team with extensive partner networks and the project’s own results team. The work includes partial remote work and travel between different locations as needed for the project. What we offer you You will gain insight into developing data-driven management on a large wellbeing region. Your work will have a tangible impact on continuity of care and service smoothness, making analytics genuinely effective. We offer you a meaningful role where analytics directly contribute to operational development. You will work with two expert teams and have the opportunity to utilize and develop extensive data sets as part of a growing data platform. What we expect from you - Ability to analyze and interpret data and present findings clearly to different audiences - Proficiency with data platforms and reporting tools - Skills in data warehousing, SQL, Python, PowerBI, and concept modeling - Ability to implement analyses in practice with operational staff - Willingness to ask questions, challenge, and coach - Comfort working in various operational environments, but also capable of working remotely - Ability to work as part of a team Additionally, good written and spoken Finnish skills are required. Knowledge of Swedish and experience in data science, data analysis, or knowledge management development tasks, as well as familiarity with the continuity of care model’s metrics and data foundation, are considered advantages. A suitable higher education degree is required. We are initially hiring two data analysts for fixed-term employment until the end of 2027. The emphasis of the roles may be refined based on the skills of the selected candidates. Employment is conditional upon securing project funding. Apply now to help build better continuity of care with data – submit your application and become part of impactful development work.
