Salla Wilderness Park is not an ordinary workplace, nor is this an ordinary job. The same building houses a café, a restaurant, the nature center of Salla National Park, reception for accommodations, and flight control for activity services. We are now looking for a receptionist/waiter/waitress for the upcoming winter season 2026/2027. The job involves more than just handing out accommodation keys and clearing dishes. We might even offer one of the most diverse positions in Lapland tourism! What will you do? - Sell activity services, café products, accommodations, and souvenirs - Welcome international guests for programs, accommodations, and dining - Advise hikers on the beautiful new trails of Salla National Park - Set up soup lunches and dinner buffets so nicely that you feel like sitting down to eat yourself. What do you need? - Alcohol service license (sometimes tea is not enough) - Hygiene passport (we don’t eat snowballs, and customers shouldn’t either) - Fluent Finnish and English, and if you know a few words of German or Savo dialect or can communicate with gestures, that’s a plus - A smile, enthusiasm, and a desire to serve people from the Netherlands to the United Arab Emirates.
