We are looking for a library professional for a versatile and people-oriented position at the Rantasalmi library. The Rantasalmi library is a shared space for residents to access information, reading, social interactions, and daily digital support. Our work combines customer service, literature, collections, literacy work, and service development. The work is close to people and part of the municipality's daily life — calm, yet actively developing new services. Your tasks include diverse customer service, literacy work, collection management, digital guidance, and participation in planning and implementing library events and services. We expect the new employee to have an interest in literature, materials, and the development of library services. Success in this role requires initiative, good customer service, and interaction skills. Flexibility and readiness to adapt to the library’s changing daily situations are also valued. Applicants should have a suitable higher education degree and completed higher education-level studies in library and information sciences totaling 60 ECTS credits or 35 study weeks. Salary is based on the KVTES agreement, 2KIR42A. The task-specific salary is 2,664.22 euros per month, plus any experience bonus. The working hours are 36.25 hours per week.
