Lead Process Engineer - Etteplan Oyj - Leverkusen, Germany

To strengthen our team in Leverkusen, we are looking for a Lead Process Engineer (m/f/d) with sound experience in the chemical process industry. The focus of the position is the conception, design and planning of process engineering plants for our industrial customers – from feasibility and concept studies to basic and detail engineering through to the technical support of commissioning and optimization projects. Your tasks: - Process engineering planning, design, optimization and further development of chemical production plants - Creation of process concepts, mass and energy balances - Design and specification of apparatus (columns, reactors, heat exchangers, pumps, pipelines) - Creation and checking of P&ID flowcharts, process descriptions and technical specifications - Execution and moderation of safety analyses (HAZOP, SIL, LOPA) - Technical support for plant operation and analysis of operational malfunctions - Coordination with internal specialist departments, external engineering partners and suppliers - Compliance and implementation of relevant standards, guidelines and legal requirements (e.g. ATEX, Pressure Equipment Directive) Your qualification: - Completed studies in process engineering, chemical engineering or comparable qualification - At least 5 years of professional experience in the chemical process industry - Sound knowledge of chemical processes - Very good knowledge of plant and project engineering - Willingness for project-related nationwide travel - Experience with process simulation software - Confident handling of technical regulations and international standards - Structured, analytical and solution-oriented way of working - Strong communication and teamwork skills - Very good German and English skills in spoken and written form
