The detox unit and the recovery treatment station are located in the mental health and substance abuse services building in Matinkylä, Espoo. Both units provide round-the-clock care. The detox unit treats adult patients requiring inpatient detoxification under the Western Uusimaa welfare area. The recovery treatment station cares for patients who are unable to care for themselves due to intoxication or who require short-term protection and/or medical monitoring as assessed by the staff. The same personnel work in both units, enabling diverse and varied tasks as well as professional development. Qualifications: Licensed nurse. The role requires vaccination protection according to the Communicable Diseases Act §48 and tuberculosis screening as per §55. Additionally, a valid medication dispensing license or completion of medication dispensing training within three months of starting employment is required. Candidates may be asked to provide a drug test certificate in accordance with the Western Uusimaa welfare area's substance abuse program. Previous experience in mental health and substance abuse care is valued, but a patient-centered approach and good teamwork skills are most important.
