Read more: www.tuni.fi We are looking for a producer for a fixed-term and part-time position (1.9.2026–30.4.2027; 50% working time) to support actor training, artistic research and related artistic activities in the theatre arts degree programme (Näty). The theatre arts degree programme (Näty) is part of the communication sciences unit located in the Faculty of Information Technology and Communication. The degree programme organizes multidisciplinary training in actor arts at the bachelor's and master's levels. In addition, the degree programme carries out postgraduate education and research in the performing arts. The teaching of the theatre arts degree programme is based on artistic research, focusing on actor art and performance and their changing operating environments. In teaching, different areas of expression, forms and techniques of acting are practiced and examined in various historical, cultural and philosophical frameworks. In addition, performances are made in the teaching. JOB DESCRIPTION The producer's duties include acting as production support for actor training and artistic research at Näty. Responsibilities of the position: - Production planning, budgeting and marketing of performance projects and other events implemented in the degree programme, as well as informing about them and producing text materials concerning them. - Practical arrangements of the degree programme's MA entrance examinations and acting as a secretary. - Contact and interaction with partners and stakeholders in cooperation with other staff. - Planning and implementation of the degree programme's co-productions in cooperation with other staff. - Building the visibility of the degree programme's pedagogical and artistic activities in different media and platforms. - Participating in the implementation of Näty's 60th anniversary week to be held in February 2027 in cooperation with other staff. WE OFFER The position is filled as fixed-term (8 months) and part-time (50% working time), and the employment begins on 1.9.2026. A 4-month probationary period according to the Employment Contracts Act applies to the position. In addition, it enables the development of your own expertise as part of the university community. The salary for the position is determined according to the salary system for other specialist and support staff of the general collective agreement of universities. The demand level of the producer is placed at demand level 8. In addition, a salary part based on personal performance is paid, which is determined according to the experience and performance of the selected person.
