Job Description
Your responsibilities include teaching prospective tradenomers studying information processing or information technology, supervising thesis work and student projects, and collaborating with colleagues to develop teaching methods and content considering developments in the workplace. We emphasize the following for this position: broad knowledge in information processing and technology such as programming, data security, databases, business systems, and project management; practical experience in the above areas; ability and interest in developing new teaching methods, especially in distance learning. We are looking for candidates who have: a suitable doctoral degree or higher university degree; experience in teaching or practical experience in relevant fields within industry; updated competence in areas covered by the curriculum, including programming, data security, business systems, and project management, with prior experience in these areas; a strong desire and ability to continuously develop both the organization and your own professionalism; initiative, independence, strategic thinking, and good teamwork skills; excellent knowledge of Swedish and willingness to teach in English. As a teacher at Novia, you are expected to have at least three years of work experience equivalent to a degree. Teachers at Novia are expected to have pedagogical studies totaling 60 ECTS credits or 35 study weeks. If you have not completed pedagogical studies, you may do so alongside your work within three years of employment. Salary according to collective agreement for universities of applied sciences and internal directives. The position includes a six-month probation period. Employment from 1.8.2026 to 31.12.2026.
