Job Description

Ideas turn into excursions – joy of learning under your guidance! We are looking for an early childhood education teacher at Touhula Vekaralahti in Espoo's Saunalahti. For us at Touhula, children and families are at the heart of everything. Together with them, we create a happy childhood and a good working life – the most loved daycare, which is a shared space for us all. At Touhula, early childhood education is much more than plans and routines. It involves everyday insights and people with the power to influence. Working in small groups provides opportunities to be present and significantly impact children’s daily lives. Perhaps you will be the new member of our team whose influence leaves a warm impression for the future. What is Touhula Vekaralahti like? Located in a beautiful setting in Espoo's Saunalahti, near the sea and accessible by good transportation links. We are a daycare with five groups, working in pairs. Our team includes about 15 educators, a daycare assistant, and a director. Our activities are guided by an arts education theme, which is reflected in our daily activities through crafts, music, movement, and expression, as well as an inspiring learning environment. It is important to us that children feel the daycare is a safe and joyful place to come every day – built on sensitive interactions, small group activities, and close cooperation with families. Our surroundings, including nearby forests and the sea, as well as other excursion destinations, are actively used. We also organize various events for children and families monthly and annually. At Vekaralahti, we value strong expertise and a desire to develop daily routines together in a growing environment. We are looking for someone who brings ideas, especially about smooth small group activities, and naturally engages in children’s everyday moments – play, joy, and silliness. We want to enhance our skills and enrich our daily life with new perspectives, so we hope for a committed and enthusiastic work attitude and an interest in developing activities together. We appreciate candidates who have something unique to contribute to our shared work. We look forward to hearing what your strengths are: Do you inspire children to move confidently, bring fairy tales to life magically, or create small performances with plush toys? Or do you enjoy walking in the forest and outdoor activities? See our activities on Instagram @TOUHULAVEKARALAHTI Responsibilities as an early childhood education teacher As an early childhood education teacher, you will be the pedagogical leader and inspiring facilitator of your team.
