Job Description

Join us in building your career story at Validia. We are seeking a registered nurse for rehabilitation in Helsinki on a permanent basis. Good proficiency in Swedish is required for this role. Would you like to join us as a nurse at Synapsi Rehabilitation Center? The position is diverse and interesting, with opportunities to specialize in neurological and brain and spinal cord injury rehabilitation. The employment is full-time and permanent, with a start date negotiable in June. We value genuine human interaction and a rehabilitative approach. Your duties include daily basic nursing tasks, medication administration, postoperative care, as well as tasks requiring manual skills such as wound care and other general nursing procedures and measurements. You will support clients with disabilities in their changing life situations alongside a multidisciplinary team including nurses, doctors, and therapists. You will also participate actively in meetings and development of our activities. The work involves three shifts, mainly mornings and evenings. We expect you to have a medication license or be prepared to obtain it through exams and demonstrations at the start of employment, and to have fluent spoken and written skills in Finnish and Swedish. We appreciate genuine interest in rehabilitation work and value previous experience in rehabilitation. Experience with pediatric and geriatric care is also considered an advantage. Clients of Validia’s rehabilitation services include individuals with neurological or brain injuries. At Synapsi, we provide both outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation. Synapsi Rehabilitation Center is located in Taka-Töölö, opposite Helsinki Ice Hall, with good transportation links. We require from you: Degree as a registered nurse or public health nurse, Registration as a licensed healthcare professional in JulkiTerhikki, Vaccination against infectious diseases as per section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act and tuberculosis screening as per section 55, Criminal record extract as required by social and health care supervision law, Fluent spoken and written skills in Finnish and Swedish, First aid training at EA1 level.
