Imetyksen tuki ry is looking for a specialist. Imetyksen tuki ry is a 28-year-old association promoting breastfeeding and the well-being of families with children. We provide trained peer support to thousands of families annually through our nationwide volunteer activities. We maintain Finland's most popular online service on breastfeeding topics and promote a more baby-friendly society. The activities of Imetyksen tuki ry are mainly funded by STEA. You will receive support and thorough onboarding. The employment is permanent and begins on August 3, 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter. The position is full-time, with a workweek of 37.5 hours. The specialist's work consists of three areas: planning and developing volunteer activities, communication especially with volunteers and families, and collecting and evaluating operational data. The role also includes event-related tasks and, to a lesser extent, financial tasks. Event tasks involve organizing and participating in events. You can influence the emphasis of your tasks based on your previous skills and interests. The work involves co-creation and interaction with volunteers. What do we expect from you? - Previous experience in volunteer activities and communication tasks. You do not need to be an expert in breastfeeding. - Organizational skills, systematic approach, and independent work style are your strengths. - Approachable, equality-minded, trustworthy, and gentle are your typical ways of acting. These are our association's values and guide all our activities. - You can communicate in a manner consistent with the association's values. When communicating with volunteers, our approach is gentle and considerate. Our volunteers and target group are mainly parents of young children. - You have good written and oral communication skills. Your Finnish language skills are good. Knowledge of other languages is an advantage. - You have relevant education or solid experience in similar roles. We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds. The specialist's working hours are 37.5 hours per week. The role includes evening or weekend work approximately every other month. We work flexibly, utilizing part-time remote work. The work cannot be done solely remotely. On-site work is primarily at the Imetyksen tuki office in Helsinki. The position is classified under the social sector organizations' collective agreement, in the demanding group 5. The salary consists of a base salary plus possible skills and experience allowances. The salary ranges from 3100 to 3400 euros per month. The employment begins according to agreement, on August 3, 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter.
