Job Description
Would you like to work in a role that has a direct impact on people's lives where services do not always reach? We are seeking a specialist for a fixed-term position at A-klinikkasäätiö's Street Clinic in Tampere. A-klinikkasäätiö is a non-profit foundation and addiction expert organization. We operate where help does not always reach: we produce research-based information, develop digital support services, influence societal decision-making, and meet people on the streets, in homes, and in low-threshold environments. Our work is based on respecting human dignity, reducing harm, and evidence-based practices. Street Clinic is a project funded by STEA, aimed at preventing and reducing health and social harms caused by drug use. The target group includes actively drug-using individuals who are outside or weakly connected to services. Work is carried out based on outreach and harm reduction principles, with agility and respect for people. The Street Clinic operates in Helsinki, Tampere, and Oulu. What can you expect? At the Street Clinic, you will work with a partner and be part of a multidisciplinary team. Your supervisor will be a team leader responsible for coordinating and managing the project, who visits all cities regularly. The work is mobile, varied, and people-centered — no two days are the same. Your workday may include: Planning work, scheduling, and responding to client contacts; Home visits and outreach to streets and meeting points; Health counseling, exchanging clean equipment, and rapid testing; Social counseling and daily support; Service guidance and linking to services; Co-development, communication, and advocacy with your team and other organization actors; Diverse networking locally and nationally. What do we expect from you? Relevant social or health care qualification (e.g., nurse, social worker, or social and health care qualification), we also consider students in social and health care; Practical experience in substance abuse work; experience in harm reduction and/or outreach work is an advantage; Willingness and ability to work closely with a partner; B driving license (essential). Additionally valued: Strong interpersonal skills and respectful attitude towards every individual; Ability to operate within broad cooperation networks; Up-to-date understanding of social and health care service systems. What we offer: Fixed-term and part-time (80%) employment from August 3, 2026, to October 31, 2026; Work with clear societal significance as part of an values-based and impactful organization; An encouraging and open work community where you can be yourself; Competitive salary in the non-profit sector, exceeding the minimum level of the Social Sector's collective agreement. The base salary (full-time) is €3001.36/month, supplemented by possible previous work experience and personal bonuses according to A-klinikkasäätiö’s salary system. Note: salary may be affected if your studies are still ongoing. Interested? Apply by June 3, 2026, through A-klinikkasäätiö’s Laura recruitment system. We will contact applicants by the end of the application period, and interviews will be held in early June. More information: Team leader Helena Lammi Weekdays from 8:00 to 16:00 040 187 4004
