Job Description
Responsibilities of a school assistant in elementary school Mankkaanpuron School is located in a residential area in the heart of old Mankkaa. Our community includes approximately 400 students, about 25 teachers, and 2 school assistants. Our school is an elementary school that also offers preschool education. At Mankkaanpuron, students have the opportunity to study two long A1 languages: English and German. We are an active and cheerful school community that values both the teaching of knowledge and skills. We prioritize well-being, cooperation, interaction skills, sustainable future topics, and internationality. Collaboration between staff and between home and school is important to us. School name and address: Mankkaanpuron School, Vanhan-Mankkaantie 17, 02180 Espoo Working hours: Weekly working hours may vary annually based on resources allocated to assistant services, at least 21 hours/week. Work and salary payments are interrupted for no more than 10 weeks per year during school breaks. The break period is determined annually. The position is fixed-term from August 11 to December 22, 2026. This workplace is accessible. Qualifications: Completion of a professional qualification as a school assistant or other suitably defined education. The role requires the ability to guide a group of children. Applicants must present a criminal record extract as specified in the Criminal Records Act, section 6.2.
