A fixed-term position for a CLASS TEACHER in BASIC EDUCATION is available at Hiukkavaara School for the 2026-2027 academic year. The duties include teaching music and crafts (hard materials). Hiukkavaara School is a modern school that started operations in August 2017, committed to development. Flexible learning environments enable personalized support for students. We are dedicated to co-teaching and teamwork at various levels. The school will have approximately 1100 students and just over 100 staff members next year. Qualifications are determined according to the decree on the qualifications of education personnel (986/1998). Original certificates demonstrating qualifications must be presented during the interview. It is considered an advantage to have an interest in working in flexible learning environments as part of the teaching team, as well as the ability and interest in co-teaching, supporting individual students, and implementing phenomenon-based learning. Experience and skills in teaching music, crafts (hard materials), and grades 3-4 are also considered beneficial. Salary is determined according to the municipal collective agreement for the education sector. Before the appointment is confirmed, the selected candidate must, within 30 days of receiving the decision, present a criminal background check issued in accordance with the Act on Background Checks for Persons Working with Children (504/2002).
