Practical Nurse (2), Acute Ward Y2, Seinäjoki - Etelä-Pohjanmaan hyvinvointialue - Seinäjoki, Finland

The South Ostrobothnia Wellbeing Services Area is hiring two (2) practical nurses for the acute ward Y2 in Seinäjoki, with an initial placement at the outpatient health services acute ward Y2. The start date is September 14, 2026, or as agreed. The acute ward Y2 in the outpatient health services of the Wellbeing Services Area operates in the Y-building. The ward cares for acutely ill patients requiring short hospital stays. The ward has 38 beds. The practical nurse's work on the ward involves three-shift work. Applicants are expected to have good cooperation and interaction skills, flexibility, motivation to develop nursing work, expertise in acute care and chronic disease management, and a rehabilitative approach. Previous experience in tasks similar to ward operations is considered an advantage. Additionally, applicants must have medication administration training (LOVe or equivalent) in accordance with healthcare professional competence requirements. In our selection, we emphasize both qualification requirements and the suitability of the applicant for the position. The qualification requirement is a social and health care basic degree, a practical nurse qualification (in accordance with Law 559/1994 or 817/2015). Terms of employment and salary are determined according to the SOTE agreement, with a task-specific salary of €2,644.50 per month at the start of employment. A probationary period applies to the employment. A certificate of health status and a criminal background check in accordance with Law 504/2002 must be presented before taking up the position. The selected candidate may be required to undergo a drug test. HYVAEP is a nicotine-free workplace. The position requires vaccination protection according to Section 48 of the Infectious Diseases Act and a tuberculosis certificate according to Section 55.
