Job Description

We are looking for a permanent Mechanical Design Engineer at Rejlers for demanding defense industry client projects. In this role, you will combine your technical expertise, manage overall design, and guide the design team in projects where quality, safety, and reliability are exceptionally important. Your workplace will be at Rejlers' Hämeenlinna or Tampere office, working flexibly in a hybrid model that combines modern office space, remote work, and collaboration at client sites. You will lead technical design, clarify complex systems, and ensure ideas turn into functional, high-quality, and feasible solutions. You will work on projects combining modern mechanical design, requirements management, project structuring, and close customer collaboration. Your responsibilities include defining technical requirements, translating them into concrete design tasks, and coordinating and prioritizing design progress. You will act as a vital link between the customer, project management, and design teams, monitoring progress, reporting, and ensuring that 3D mechanical design and PDM structures support project goals. You will also develop your expertise, with the final role tailored to your skills and experience. We value systematic work approach, anticipation of challenges, and a collaborative problem-solving attitude. Proficiency in Finnish and good English skills are required. A security clearance will be conducted for the selected candidate. We offer a work environment where technical expertise, learning, and impactful customer projects meet. We are part of a Nordic community sharing knowledge across teams and sectors, with experienced colleagues, diverse projects, modern tools, and growth opportunities aligned with your interests and strengths. Our comprehensive employee benefits include flexible hybrid work, health services, insurance, lunch and wellness benefits, and a culture driven by continuous learning, openness, and collaboration. Join us in building a sustainable future with innovative solutions. Apply by August 2, 2026, via our recruitment system.
