Job Description

Varhassa opit työn tekemällä ja rakennat tulevaisuuttasi hyvinvointialueen välinehuollossa. Tehtäväsi As a vocational apprentice in instrument maintenance, you will work as part of the instrument maintenance team and learn all key tasks alongside experienced professionals. You will participate in the entire process with various instruments and clients, demonstrating your skills through practical assessments. Progress according to a clear training plan, supported by a designated workplace supervisor and a teacher from the educational institution. The apprenticeship lasts 1.5-2 years, initially for the first academic year, and continues as needed, but no longer than two years. School days are unpaid. The training begins in autumn 2026 at the latest in week 45. Training locations are in Varha's instrument maintenance units in Turku and nearby areas (Raisio, Naantali, Kaarina, Parainen), Salo, Uusikaupunki, and Loimaa. Working hours are 80%. What we offer You get a concrete pathway to a career as an instrument maintenance technician through an apprenticeship, where most learning occurs on the job and is supplemented by face-to-face instruction arranged by the educational institution. You are employed and receive wages according to the collective agreement. School days are unpaid. We offer flexible training options alongside work and the opportunity to build your expertise long-term within the welfare area. What we expect from you A strong interest in instrument maintenance tasks and understanding of its importance. Careful and precise work attitude and responsibility for your own work. Commitment to a long-term apprenticeship and a combination of theory and practice. Good organizational skills and readiness for varied working days. Ability to quickly grasp new concepts and learn in practical work. Willingness to use ICT systems of the welfare area and instrument maintenance. Additionally, sufficient Finnish language skills are required. Admission requires a study place at Turku Vocational Institute or a similar educational institution starting in autumn 2026. Interested?
