Project Manager - Mechanical Systems - ReOrbit - Remote - Global

ReOrbit is looking for a Project Manager – Mechanical Systems to lead all mechanical engineering activities for the SiltaSat GEO satellite. This role ensures the successful design, integration, qualification, and delivery of mechanical subsystems under GEO‑mission constraints such as long‑term thermal stability, radiation exposure, and high‑reliability structural design. Responsibilities include coordinating all mechanical domain activities across a GEO satellite project, overseeing development of bus structures, GEO-grade thermal control systems, payload structures and thermal systems, mechanisms and deployment systems, leading Mechanical AIT activities, managing mechanical integration planning and interface coordination, coordinating with subsystem leads and Work Package Managers, identifying and managing risks, and serving as custodian of the Mechanical Interface Control Document (MICD). Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred), 5+ years of experience in flight hardware development in aerospace, strong understanding of mechanical subsystem development for GEO or high-reliability missions, experience with MAIT processes, environmental testing, FEM and thermal analysis, vibration and thermal-vacuum testing, knowledge of safe transport of hardware, and understanding of mass, CG, and MI control for GEO platforms.
