We are seeking two (2) Fabrication Leads / Production Team Leaders for shipbuilding production for our client, SATA Shipbuilding Oy. We are looking for two experienced and goal-oriented production team leaders to oversee the operational management and daily guidance of their respective areas within the shipyard environment. One position is in outfitting and the other in hull production. In this role, you will be central to ensuring smooth production execution in collaboration with supervisors, production managers, and other stakeholders. Success in this role requires strong production management skills, a solution-oriented approach, and the ability to lead operations safely, with quality, and efficiently in a changing environment. Job Description The Production Lead is responsible for the practical implementation of designated production areas or work phases in accordance with agreed schedules, quality, cost, and safety objectives. Responsibilities include - Managing and guiding production - Overseeing the practical implementation of production areas or work phases (e.g., block construction, outfitting, welding, assembly) - Directing and supporting supervisors and team leaders in daily operations - Ensuring production plans are met according to schedule - Responding to deviations and initiating corrective actions Scheduling, resources, and efficiency - Participating in weekly and daily production planning - Ensuring efficient use of resources - Monitoring production progress and reporting status to the production manager - Supporting continuous improvement initiatives (efficiency, throughput) Quality, safety, and environment - Ensuring work is performed in accordance with shipyard quality requirements and drawings - Promoting and monitoring safety and safe working methods - Addressing safety and quality risks immediately - Supporting environmental and responsibility goals in production Collaboration and communication - Working closely with the production manager, design, procurement, quality, logistics, and subcontractors - Participating in production meetings and status reviews - Ensuring communication between production and supervisors - Supporting subcontractor guidance and performance monitoring What we expect from you - Experience in production management in an industrial or shipyard environment - Ability to lead people and coordinate multiple work phases simultaneously - Understanding of production schedules, quality, and safety requirements - Solution-oriented and goal-focused work approach - Good collaboration and communication skills - Fluent Finnish language skills; English skills are considered an advantage We offer - A responsible and versatile role at the core of shipbuilding - Opportunity to influence production development and operational practices - A professional and collaborative work community - Competitive employment benefits and the potential for a long-term career Interested?
