Teacher of Physical Education and Health Education and Promotion of Work Ability and Well-being in Åboland - Axxell Utbildning Ab

We are seeking teachers for the joint subjects (physical education and health education, as well as promotion of work ability and well-being) in Åboland. The employment is temporary, from August 1, 2026, to April 2, 2027. The position is part-time, 60%. Your tasks include teaching and supervising students in school, as well as participating in assessment. It is important that you have a genuine interest in engaging with and guiding both young and adult students. As a teacher, you will also actively participate in developing cooperation with working life. You plan and implement your teaching in accordance with the curriculum. The subjects you will teach are physical education and health education, as well as promotion of work ability and well-being. You will teach both young and adult students in the classroom and remotely. Your primary placement will be in Pargas, but teaching at other locations may also occur. Axxell has over 5,000 students, of whom approximately 3,500 are studying for a degree. The staff consists of about 280 full-time employees and hourly workers. As a teacher in the joint degree modules, you will be part of our GEM team of 17 members, teaching both young and adult students in the joint modules. Qualifications for the position are according to the regulation on qualification requirements for personnel in education (986/1998). This means a suitable university degree, at least three years of work experience in the field, and teaching qualifications. If no applicants meet the qualification requirements, an unqualified person may be appointed temporarily. If the other qualification requirements are met, the selected candidate may also be employed for a period of three years, provided they commit to obtaining the pedagogical qualification within that time. Salary according to the collective agreement for the private education sector. For qualified applicants, the salary ranges from €1,961.69 to €2,579.01 (60%) depending on experience. A probation period of four months applies.
