Job Description

Rinnekodit is a workplace supporting the overall well-being of its employees. We build a respectful and equal work culture where everyone has the opportunity to develop. We are currently hiring a nurse for a permanent position. Welcome to Rinnekodit Rusokallio! Rusokallio, opened in 2025, is located in Helsinki Pitäjänmäki. Rinnekodit Rusokallio is a 24-place residential unit for adults with developmental disabilities and autism spectrum disorder. We aim to create a homely environment and support residents' independence and participation in their daily lives. Each resident is unique, and we want to meet them as they are. If you want to do meaningful work and support the well-being and quality of life of people with disabilities, you are the person we are looking for. As a nurse, you will work in a multidisciplinary team as an expert in your field. Your tasks include full responsibility for medication administration and sharing related knowledge within the unit. You support and maintain residents' functional capacity and overall well-being, participate in basic care and guidance, and handle reporting. You have the opportunity to influence your work planning. The role is versatile, including developing medication practices and training new employees. Most importantly, you will get to know nice clients and do valuable customer work. We expect you to have a nurse degree and registration with the National Supervisory Authority for Welfare and Health, a social and health care professional card (Kanta authentication card) or readiness to obtain it during the trial period, and the ability to demonstrate medication competence by obtaining a medication permit within four months of starting work and regularly during employment. You should be prepared for three-shift work, mainly day shifts on weekdays, and have basic Finnish language skills for documentation and client interaction. You must also have vaccination protection according to the Infectious Diseases Act, section 48. Rinnekodit is a smoke-free and drug-free workplace. We will check your criminal record before employment as required by law; it must not be older than six months. Our work community includes practical nurses, nurses, special instructors, housekeepers, and a service unit manager. Our manager is committed to supporting your and the entire team’s development with a coaching approach—encouraging, giving feedback, and listening in times of concern. We promote a safe environment to ensure everyone can be themselves. We offer a salary class G25E, approximately 2978.31–3248.15 euros plus shift allowances according to the collective agreement, a sports, culture, and well-being benefit, comprehensive occupational health care, and extensive accident insurance. You can work on a 3+4 shift model (three working days and four days off), part-time options, a dedicated mentor, and a welcoming orientation. You will have a role where you can utilize your skills and strengths, participate in career development, and apply for housing in the Helsinki metropolitan area through us. The application deadline is July 26, 2026, with interviews starting the week of July 20, 2026. The work begins on September 1, 2026, or as agreed. We value diversity and encourage applicants from different backgrounds. For questions, contact Minna Toivola, service unit manager, weekdays 13-14, phone 040 182 5537, or email minna.toivola@rinnekodit.fi. Read more about our unit at Rinnekodit Rusokallio.
