Part-time Art Teacher - Porvoon kaupunki - Porvoo, Finland

The Porvoo region art school/seminary is seeking a substitute part-time teacher for basic art education according to the comprehensive curriculum for the academic year 2026 - 2027, from August 11, 2026, to May 31, 2027. Job description: Teaching art in Porvoo and, if necessary, also in Sipoo, in basic art education groups, approximately 15 hours per week as a part-time teacher. Students are aged 4 to 18. All classes are bilingual (Finnish, Swedish). The part-time teacher position also includes other work hours, which will be agreed upon and compensated separately. Qualifications: A relevant degree in the field of visual arts, according to the decree on the qualifications of education personnel 986/1998. Additionally, good oral skills in both native languages and work experience in teaching children and young people in visual arts are required. Experience as a visual artist and a degree are considered an advantage. The selected candidate must present a criminal record extract issued under the Act on Background Checks of Persons Working with Children (504/2002), section 3.
