Electrical Designer

Electrical designer role at Granlund in the industrial and energy planning services. The position offers growth opportunities and diverse projects. You will work as part of the substation and electrical distribution design project team, either in design participation or in a more expert role. As a designer, your duties may include layout design, commissioning calculations for electrical networks, main diagram design, grounding design, protection design, preparation of work and procurement reports, and switching programs. In a specialist role you will support clients and project teams in technical questions related to electrical substations and distribution solutions, participate in defining and evaluating design solutions, contribute your views on project technical choices, and ensure functionality, safety and compliance. You will also contribute to design guidance, quality assurance, and collaboration with customers and other stakeholders. In addition to design, we participate in commissioning tests, inspections and start-ups, with on-site visits in the future. Your future team consists of six electrical design professionals: project managers, specialists and designers. We work flexibly remotely and at Granlund’s head office in Helsinki, Malmi.
