A temporary position for a SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER is available at Martinniemi School for the 2026-2027 school year. Martinniemi School is a primary school for grades 1-6 located in the northern part of Oulu, with approximately 230 students in the 2026-2027 school year. The school's strengths include caring for students' well-being and ensuring each student has a positive school experience. The school actively implements STEAM pedagogy and social-emotional learning. We are continuously developing our activities and participate in Erasmus programs. Qualifications are determined according to the decree on the qualifications of education personnel 986/1998. Original certificates of qualification must be presented during the interview. We prefer candidates with experience in special education at the primary school level. A qualification as a special class teacher and experience in group and individual support are considered an advantage. Good communication skills with staff and guardians are desired. Salary is based on the municipal collective agreement for the education sector. Before the appointment is confirmed, the selected candidate must, within 30 days of receiving the decision, present a criminal background check issued according to law 504/2002, section 3, for working with children.
