We are now seeking two experienced professionals in earthworks and water supply for urban infrastructure projects in the Helsinki metropolitan area. The work focuses on street, municipal engineering, and water supply construction in demanding urban environments, mainly in Helsinki city center and other sites around the capital region. The role involves reading plans, understanding the big picture, and working smoothly with various partners in a construction environment. Tasks include constructing and renovating water, sewer, and stormwater networks, preparing trenches, installing pipes, backfilling, and finishing work, urban and municipal earthworks, managing measurements and levels, maintaining safety and quality, and possibly supervising and organizing work on site. The position offers a great opportunity to develop as a professional in the tramway sector, with potential to grow into roles like foreman or site manager based on skills and interest. Requirements include several years of experience in earthworks and/or water supply construction, practical experience with water, sewer, and stormwater lines, ability to work independently from plans and instructions, readiness to act as a team leader if needed, good professional skills, initiative, responsibility, a valid safety card, and fluent Finnish skills. Additional valued skills include experience in urban infrastructure, demanding water renovation projects, leadership ability, Tieturva 1 or 2 certification, water work card, C-driver’s license, and experience with excavators or wheel loaders.
