Inclusive Special Education Teacher Masku - Maskun kunta - Masku, Finland

The municipality of Masku is seeking an inclusive special education teacher for Lemun School (grades 1-6) for the autumn semester 2026. The special education teacher is responsible for planning and coordinating the school's inclusive special education. The planning is done together with classroom teachers, and the special education teacher is responsible for its implementation and various support measures. The special education teacher also ensures that support documentation is up-to-date in collaboration with classroom teachers. The position is temporary, from August 10 to December 19, 2026. It is possible that the substitute position will be extended. The workload is 24 hours per week. The applicant must have the qualifications according to the decree on the qualifications of education personnel (986/1998, amendment 865/2005). Strong pedagogical skills in supporting students' diverse well-being and experience as an inclusive special education teacher are considered an advantage. Proficiency in electronic learning platforms and good collaboration skills are also considered an advantage. We expect versatile pedagogical skills and methods to meet the support needs of different learners. The selected candidate must provide an acceptable medical certificate of health. Additionally, a criminal record extract related to working with children, issued under the Act on Background Checks for Persons Working with Children (504/2002), must be presented within 14 days of the decision. The position has a one-month probation period.
