Childcare Assistant in Early Childhood Education, Askbacken Daycare - Espoon kaupunki - Espoo, Finland

Join our team at Askbacken Daycare. We are looking for a committed and flexible resource childcare assistant to serve as an additional resource in the group, which needs an extra adult. Your team consists of two other childcare assistants and a teacher, and together you plan activities for the children. Askbacken Daycare is a newly renovated small unit with two groups, Ladybirds and Pandas, with children aged one to five. The size of the unit allows everyone to get to know each other, and we collaborate across groups. We are located in Södrik in Esbo city center, with forests, parks, and Entresse library within walking distance. We also have a nice yard that enables diverse outdoor activities. The five-year-olds participate in a play and movement project and visit Targa Arena for guided movement sessions every other week. Our goal is to be a place where everyone wants to come, including children, parents, and staff. We plan activities and daily routines based on the curriculum, with the child's interests at the center. It is important to us that children feel involved in both planning and executing activities. We also work to strengthen children's social skills, among other methods, through small group activities and the "I and We" work tool.
