Your Role Rehabilitative assessment units currently operate in the Southwest Finland region in Kaarina, Naantali, Turku, Pargas, Lieto, Halikko, and Uusikaupunki. Rehabilitative assessment supports and enables the elderly to manage at home and in their own environment by ensuring consistent and high-quality assessment and rehabilitation services. The Kartanonmäki Rehabilitative Assessment Unit 2 in Loimaa is a 35-bed unit. The staff consists of a multidisciplinary team including a doctor, a charge nurse, registered nurses, practical nurses, social guides, a physiotherapist, and an occupational therapist. At the core of the rehabilitative assessment units' operations is the assessment of elderly clients' functional capacity and service needs through the cooperation of a multidisciplinary team. As a Practical Nurse, you ensure the implementation of nursing care and services that promote the client's rehabilitation. As a member of the multidisciplinary team, you are responsible for the planning, implementation, and evaluation of practical nursing care and health promotion in accordance with given orders and procedures. The goal of your work is to support the client's ability to live at home. In your work, you will utilize available metrics, such as RAI assessment, for assessing the client's functional capacity and planning care. You will monitor clients' health status and rehabilitation, report changes, and document nursing care while observing data protection practices. Additionally, you will advise and guide clients and their relatives and participate in the orientation and supervision of new employees, resource pool staff, and students. The work of a practical nurse is a three-shift system. We require good oral and written Finnish language skills. Eligibility requirements include a vocational qualification in social and health care (practical nurse) or a previous school-level degree in the field, as well as valid registration in the JulkiTerhikki and JulkiSuosikki registers.
