The primary goal of the position is to ensure food safety in the food supply chain and support the operational conditions of food companies in accordance with the Food Authority's strategy. The position is located in the Food Safety Department's Food Hygiene Section of the Food Authority. The section's tasks focus on hygiene requirements for food production, storage, transportation, and distribution (e.g., serving or sales) and on supervising and developing compliance with these requirements. The incumbent's responsibilities in the food hygiene sector include expert tasks related to food service, sales, and transportation activities and supervision. The role involves interpretation, guidance, and advice based on regional legislation. As part of these tasks, the work includes collaboration with food inspection authorities and stakeholders, training, media cooperation related to the section's duties, and cooperation and development with the Food Authority's clients and partners. The position emphasizes customer-oriented development of food inspection services in line with the Food Authority's strategy. The role involves acting as responsible person or expert in working groups and teams. Practical customer service is also part of the job.
