Job Description
The head of the service unit leads the operations of the social and health centers in collaboration with the service area director, chief nurse, nursing managers, and the local chief physicians and ward managers. The head of the service unit has overall responsibility for managing the unit’s operations, quality and development, guidelines, and their implementation and integration. They are responsible for cooperation and joint development within the service area and with other service areas and sectors. The head of the service unit is responsible for standardizing functions across the wellbeing area's social and health centers. They also oversee financial planning and monitoring of the service unit in cooperation with the service area management. The role includes participation in the service area's management team. The head of the service unit participates in recruitment and monitors personnel resources and their distribution within the area. They act as the supervisor for the local chief physicians of the social and health centers. Employment conditions: Working hours and other employment terms are determined according to the HYVTES and the doctor’s collective agreement. The starting salary is €10,136.81/month (career step 3B). The position includes clinical work. The work is primarily on-site, with partial remote work possible by agreement. A probationary period applies. The role requires vaccination protection according to the Communicable Diseases Act §48 and a tuberculosis certificate according to §55.
