The primary task of the City of Oulu's integration services is to ensure the basic well-being of quota refugees and asylum seekers who have been granted residence permits moving to the City of Oulu, and to create conditions for clients' safe and smooth daily lives and integration. The activities focus on client-oriented promotion of integration, safe housing for clients, support for daily life, and client-participatory services. We are now seeking an INTEGRATION SPECIALIST for the integration services unit for a fixed-term substitute position from 28.8.2026 to 28.5.2027 or as agreed. As a specialist, your task is to promote the client's integration into Finnish society by providing individual guidance and, if necessary, drafting a personal integration plan for clients. As a specialist, you will operate in various cooperation networks and consult different experts and official authorities. Your task is to support clients' integration into Finnish society, promote clients' well-being, and guide them to necessary services. You will act as the coordinator of the client's services according to their life situation. A key part of your role is client guidance and the preparation of the client's integration plan. The position requires the use of various client information systems such as Kelmu, VTJ, UMA, and Koto-AJ. The eligibility requirement is a higher education degree suitable for the position. Performing the duties requires knowledge of the service system guiding integration, experience in integration work with immigrants, and readiness to use integration information systems. Successful performance of the duties requires self-direction and good interaction, teamwork, and network cooperation skills. Experience in municipal integration services is considered an advantage.
