Job Description
Wärtsilä is seeking a quality engineer to join the Sustainable Technology Hub in Vaasa. The role involves ensuring the quality of production processes and products from start to finish, implementing data-driven improvements in collaboration with production, design, and supply chain. Tasks include managing deviation handling and root cause analysis, developing quality assurance methods such as PFMEA and control plans, programming Mitutoyo CMM measurement machines, developing measurement system capabilities, monitoring quality metrics, supporting audits and ISO 9001 maintenance, and training staff in quality management methods. The candidate should have technical education, experience in production quality, strong ISO 9001, 8D, and FMEA knowledge, practical measurement skills, and proficiency in Finnish. Additional assets include reading drawings, Lean/Six Sigma knowledge, experience with SPC and reporting tools like Excel and Power BI, SAP experience, and English skills.
