A substitute position for a lecturer in Finnish language and Finnish as a second language is available at Armfelt School in the city of Salo from August 1, 2026, to July 31, 2027. Armfelt School is a comprehensive school in Halikko, Salo, with approximately 650 students. We are a school for all learners, aiming to build a cohesive, sustainable educational pathway for each student. In addition to general education groups, our school offers various special education groups, from individualized instruction to small groups in connection with child protection institutions. We focus on high-quality education and active, multidisciplinary collaboration with different stakeholders. We are seeking a Finnish language and Finnish as a second language teacher to work with middle school-aged students. The position requires qualification in Finnish language teaching, and experience and expertise in teaching Finnish as a second language are considered an advantage. In addition to the base salary, experience-based supplements may be paid according to the collective agreement. We also pay a personal allowance to all employees whose employment has lasted over six months. The position is conditional until the selected candidate provides an acceptable health certificate and a criminal record extract related to working with children, in accordance with law 504/2002, within 30 days of the employment decision. The employment relationship includes a six (6) month probation period, provided the terms of the collective agreement are met.
