Domestic Traffic Boat Driver (Boat Operator) - Parmake Oy - Helsinki, Finland

Suomen Saaristoristeilyt Oy/Helsingin Risteilypalvelut operates during the summer season with taxi boats, water buses, and work boats (including a crane) in the Helsinki metropolitan area. We are looking for a driver for regular routes and on-demand services to share shifts with another regular driver and an entrepreneur. Small passenger vessels are single-pilot vessels, up to 40 feet, fast vessels with efficient engines and bow thrusters. Water buses are slower, older cruise ships that require skill and experience to handle. The work boat is equipped with a bow thruster and approximately a 6-ton crane. Requirements include at least a captain’s license (preferably a ship master’s license), a seafarer’s medical certificate, and excellent customer service skills. Experience in similar work is essential. Skills in Swedish and English are a big plus! The work can be part-time or full-time from April to the end of October. The ships’ home ports are Stansvik Manor in Kruunuvuorenranta, Laajasalo, and Lauttasaari. NOTE! If driving a work boat does not excite you or if your experience/courage is not sufficient, this is not a problem, as there are plenty of runs on small passenger vessels. We are also looking for so-called extra drivers who can substitute and take on gigs as needed.
