Senior Specialist, Internal Control and Risk Management - Opetushallitus - Helsinki, Finland

The Support for Management unit is responsible for creating a comprehensive situational picture supporting the agency's management, coordinating the agency's result-based management and agreements, supporting and monitoring the general development of the agency's operations, providing legal advice externally and internally, guidance and training, and coordinating statements and positions concerning the entire agency. The unit includes a controller function, which produces audit and assessment information regarding the appropriateness and sufficiency of internal control within the Opetushallitus accounting unit for management, develops risk management, and evaluates and promotes the effectiveness, appropriateness, and legality of operations. The lead specialist in the controller function reports directly to the Director General regarding the content and reporting of activities. We are continuously seeking a professional with expertise in internal control, internal audit, risk management, and information management for the increasingly diverse and expanding Opetushallitus. As a senior specialist, you will serve as the responsible person for internal audit at Opetushallitus. You will coordinate, develop, and implement internal control and risk management, and act as the contact person for internal and external audits (including EU audits). You will provide information to support the Director General and management team regarding internal data, and support leadership in process development and identifying areas for improvement. Additionally, you will participate in developing internal reporting, analysis, and forecasting at Opetushallitus.
